Our port combing pocket has a Marinco shore power connector on its aft
inside face. Nothing ever catches on it, and while it is well sealed, it is
not weathering since protected.

Subject: catalina27-talk: Shore power connection

I have a 1978 Catalina 27 and I'm installing a shore power system. I have
all the proper pieces now, but am looking for advice on where to drill the
hole for the shore power connector. Obviously the cockpit is one option,
but .... Any ideas? I plan to mount the electrical panel under the two
galley drawers in my galley aft dinette model. System will be simple: two
outlet boxes (one fwd in locker and one aft in saloon), and multi-stage
battery charger.
