Ditto for my 1989. We also use the original to store pots and pans. My wife
(who insists on working the galley--her choice, not mine) refuses to use it
as a cooler not only because everything melts way too fast but because she
says it's too difficult to see or to reach way down in there. This was not
one of Catalina's better design decisions.
