Frank A few years ago, I replaced my Standard Horizon (S/A) instruments with the new updated S/A 150's.  I installed a Wind and a Multi-data (speed and depth combination)  I installed both on a new higher (54") pedestal guard.  The gauge wires were run up the pedestal guard and out into a new 2 gauge NavPod.  The wind and multi-data were mounted onto the NavPod.  All work well and look great.   By replacing the gauges and putting them into the NavPod on the pedestal, I was able to get rid of the two large Pods that the old guages were mounted on (thay came out from either side of the old pedestal guard).  This gave me a lot more room to get around the new wood wheel I installed without bumping my knees.  This was one of my best up-dates, it was money well spent. I can now read the wind speed and direction, along with the speed and depth without leaving the wheel.  I can also sail the boat from under the Bimini wihout having to constatly look at the wind indicator mounted on top of the mast.   Andy Slow"MO"tion 1985 Catalina 27 - Tall Rig #6038 Nyack, NY
