I would like to thank both Bob and Dave for their responses. After reading both of those excellent responses, I feel like even more of a beginner than I thought. I need to just chew on some of the lingo and other terms of art that splash about. Thank you, and I will give keep you both updated as try to figure this sailing thing out. C 27 is my first boat ever.  Everyone who has one seem to love it or think back fondly to the days when they still had even after moving on to more newer expensive boats. I actually got in the car and drove to woodland hills and went to the Catalina place where they make the boats...they mainly concentrate on the new boats.   Thanks Again.   Douglas. Aqua Boogie C-27
