There are folks who “weld” polyethylene water tanks but don’t about diesel.  Don’t by one of the cheapo welders you see advertised in the clearance houses –  they don’t work is what I’ve heard.  I have seen a patch kit for water tanks but don’t know it that would work on diesel tanks.

Slightly off topic, but so much knowledge here.  Anyone know how to fix a small punture in a polyethylene diesel fuel tank?  Can it be done? Size of an ice pick.
Any suggestions welcome.
