Thanks very much for your kind offer.  However, I think it's too risky for 2
reasons. 
In shipping from your location to mine to England and then holding by
Speedseal, and then shipping back creates too much of a risk of loss for a
"Live" pump.  Even if insured, the loss might be a PITA to get back into your
boat by Spring.  
Second, when you pull the Sherwood pump, I think you have to pull the 2 part
shaft which I believe may cause a problem with the seals. I know that some
people will pull the shaft to change the impeller, which my mechanic did when
I first got my boat.  But I had to replace the seals a few weeks later and it
was attributed to the shaft being pulled. Perhaps some other Sherwood owners
could comment.
But really, thanks for you your offer. It shows how great and generous the
list is.
