Jim,
my boat has the Universal diesal, so it very likely could be different. However, the hose on the starboard side is the counterpart to the blower hose on the port side. I.e., if we're pulling air out of the engine compartment, it needs to be replaced with fresh air from outside. My hose lies on the compartment floor, held in place by wire ties screwed to the floor.
