has a fitting with a hose attached that is run up forward and
capped. looks like i could use this to get the oil out although the
fitting on the end doesn't look like a natural fit to my pump.
anybody got the same thing on their u18 and how do you get the oil out?

I use a drill-mounted pump attached to the end of the hose. Works fine.
