I managed to improve my ice box by putting as much Styrofoam in the gaps around it as I could fit (the kind you buy in sheets at Lowes). Remove the sink to get better access. Remove the plywood panel from the locker too.

Once you can’t get any more in there then fill all the gaps with non-expanding foam. The “Good Stuff” foam is what the PO used in a few places around the galley and it stuck so hard my galley will not ever be getting removed. For some reason though the PO didn’t insulate all the way around the ice box so it didn’t help until I completed the task.
