hey Dave, speakina powerboat mentality, last weekend I took part in the J35 North American championship, in Annapolis MD. All us out-of-towners were tied to a floating dock across the creek from the YC. (we being from Baltimore were out-of-towners). Anyway, the boat that won the event was from Detroit. As a total IN YOUR FACE move, every morning, they'd leave our dock to go race with some stupid neo-disco CD blasting out at about 135 dB. Really really obnoxious. Someone yelled at them, "go home you effin' load of powerboaters!"
in all honesty, I hate AYC so much I thought it was pretty funny. They did a circuit around Annapo harbor and woke up a lot of folks snoozing on cruising boats, snowbirds at anchor on their way down to FL and the islands, not to mention condo residents and ho-moaners that live along Spa Creek. they made some serious enemies...it was total In Your Face from the boys (n girlz) from the Moto City. tf [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote:
