Tommy -  I also just had my '85 fuel gauge go to below empty   What should the ohm meter say when checking the sending unit? If the sending unit is bad do you have any tips for where to get a new one and how to replace? Should I "top off" the fuel for the winter or add fresh in the spring? Thx.   Mike
