I agree, Doug. But many lists also have the capability to receive a
day's worth of postings in one end-of-day package (command: digest).
I don't find any such command on this list. Am I missing something?

I think most email programs can do this. It has worked well for me
as a less drastic solution than unsubscribing from the list.
