I am considering changing the prop on Escapade.

I currently have a three blade prop on the boat - stamped on the prop,
"MI/Fed, MP/TP 12 RH 10". I have no qualms about this prop except I would
like
that extra 1/2 knot (as I have been told) with a two blade prop. The PO left
a
two blade prop in the locker, stamped on this prop is "Sailer Michigan, 12
RH 12". Based on its appearance this prop was probably used by a previous
owner before switching to the three blade.

Question. What are the pros and cons on using these props? Are they the
correct sizes for my engine? What alternative props should I consider? Not
sure I would like a feathering or folding prop. Could become fouled (and
expensive). I seem to remember Dr. Judy has a different looking two blade
(thought I saved the item but can not find it).

While under sail, how do you make sure the prop stopped in the vertical
position, in line with the cutlass bearing support? Wouldn't this the optimum
position for less resistance and more speed?

Any thoughts, suggestions, advice, dialog, etc.
