The CG had to rescue a kayaker (maybe momma DID raise some fools) after the ship passed. But fear not - those ships can stop or turn on a dime, as long as the dime's about a mile in diameter.

Anyone see the pix on Yahoo today of the Queen Mary 2 entering San Fran Bay? Barely makes it under the bridge, and the caption says she's the biggest ship to ever enter the bay. No link that I can find, but that's one &%^%#$%$ big ship, and all these sailboats etc sailing along as she comes in. Not me, no sir, I wouldn't get anywhere near that close.
