if you have no blisters, & these products say that they do not damage the gel coat, is it necessary to barrier coat? Lew -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [email protected] Sent: Mon, 19 Feb 2007 12:55 PM Subject: Re: catalina27-talk: removing bottom paint
here's a shot of the boat being peeled. we did 2 test areas, visible in the photo. we followed the directions and waited a full 24 hrs...temps were in the high 50's low 60's daytime, overnite lows in the 40's we were so impressed by the test patches we went hogwild the next day and did slightly over 50% of the starboard side...I highly recommend doing smaller areas, at least in terms of the size of the paper you need to cut to cover the paste. I have higher rez images if you want a better look...basically the white areas are areas completely clear of any residual paint after one application of the stuff. tf [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: > I /will/ call the yard for a quote, but we have more time than money > right > now. > > My husband sanded the bottom of his dad's '64 Chris Craft Constellation > - > > down to wood - all 37' x approx. 12 foot beam, so in > comparison...maybe > > not so bad? > > Shana > #6564 > Milwaukee, WI ________________________________________________________________________ Check out the new AOL.
