Hey Dave,
I took a peek this afternoon and I don't see how a hose could make it. A hose 
attached to the ice box drain nipple would need to be routed back behind the 
engine, for those with inboards, and then through the motor mounts down into 
the bilge. By that time, the rise in the hose might be higher than the ice box 
drain.
