My tiller shwed the same problem, and I used the suggessted fix. It's
just fine , now.

I expect the same success when I upsize the bolt that attaches the

Subject: catalina27-talk: Play in rudder - tiller to cap
All that play in rudder talk motivated me to air this. The cap - post
- rudder is tight as a tick, and when the tiller is down it is also
tight - no play. But when I raise the tiller even a little bit there
is a ton of slop where the tiller joins the post cap. I have often
wondered if the tiller or cap has been replaced yielding the ill fit.
Has anyone else had this problem?
