If you look at the lines drawing you'll see what Tom is talking about.

The forward end on the bottom of the keel is higher than the rear. The
Catalina smile is usually a direct result of setting the boat in storage
leveled to the waterline without observing the slope on the bottom of the
keel. Since the rear of the keel is behind the keel stub resting the boat on
the rear tip will attempt to pry the keel away. Fiberglass under high
pressure will deform over time (cold flow) what actually happens is the
floor of keel trunk warps down around the forward keel bolt pattern.

It's very common to store a perfectly fine boat in the fall only to have it
smiling in the spring.

Don't have pix, but here's a couple comments ...

The fin keel is not square to or parallel with the waterline. It has a
slope of a few degrees fore to aft. So the blocking under your keel needs to
have the appropriate slope, or you need to set the boat down on the blocking
and adjust the pads to the boat. If you do the that, the boat will sit
leaning slightly forward, bow lower than stern, which is OK from a support
point of view. But, you'll need to cover it well cause water will run
inappropriately from cockpit lockers, companionway hatch, etc., and put a
good bit of water inside your boat over time. (I'd rather not admit how I
learned this.)

the cradle in the parking lot collecting the water discussed above)
