Dave, You mention your loos gauge settings for a new Pentex geni. Did you use the same settings for a Dacron geni?

I'm really quite pleased with the settings that I have on Wyanokee, a standard C-27 (1986). The forward shrouds are set at 25 Professional Loos Gauge; the uppers are at 35; and the after shrouds are at 30. I have the standard back stay adjustment that sets the tension in the forestay (Harken furler) and rake that I estimate to be at least 4" to 5" pulled taught. The rig is nicely balanced with only slight weather helm in the 10 to 12 range using a new Pope 155% Pentex genoa and new Pope Dacron Main. I use the Garhauer vang as well. I have the standard Catalina traveller with a 4 to 1 main sheet center boom adjustment. For what it is worth... Dave Hoy WYANOKEE #6295 Camden, Maine
