No I was crew on a Vagabond 47. I've sailed on this boat several times from the Chesapeake to Block Island and back down Long Island Sound. This was the first trip to Maine or NS and like I said never in fog like this. A new experience.

If so I am impressed! Joe McCary Aeolus II West River, MD [EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Mark Tamblyn After just spending several days sailing Nova Scotia and crossing to Maine (Shelburne to Portland) I'd say nothing compares to having a good radar and chart plotter. I'd never sailed in real fog before and it was quite unnerving to sail by radar and chart plotter alone, no point getting adjusted to the dark and looking for lights it's thick enough the bow is partly obscured in fog. I think you folks in Maine and New England have some wonderful sailing destinations but it is sure a different experience from the Chesapeake. Mark Tamblyn 1976 C27 Josephine Gloucester Point VA
