I have a similar problem Fuel gauge problem. Mine reads 5/8 full when
actually full!  Any suggestions?

After having had several boats with fuel gauges, the only truly worth
while advice I can give is...Make sure your stick is clean and has clear
markings on it!

        I have an 82 with a 5411 diesel. The fuel gauge does not work.
Does anyone have any experience with trouble shooting the problem? It
could be the sending unit in the tank or the gauge itself. All
