Cary,

I am in Bay City currently nursing an old tape rive around the course. Could
you give me a ball park figure on the cost of the 155 thru Kent. I know they
build good sails, my main competitor is a Grampian 26 who uses them anddoes a
good job.

  Thanks,

I too have Kent Sails. This past season I had a Pentex 155% RFG and an
asymmetrical spinnaker made by them. Could not be happier with both. With
the new high tech sail cloth out there are affordable ways to build
effective race sails. Give them a shout, ask for Tom.

As I mentioned before, you get much better customer service from your local
sail lofts. Not to mention good winter discounts. We are lucky to have
Kent and others here in SE Michigan. From past experience I am leery of
some of the internet sail lofts. You need to order early to get your sail
on a boat from Thailand, and then you better hope it is cut the way you
want. Be careful of Sails East. Others have Catalina 27 sails off the
shelf.

Mine are made by a local sail maker, Kent. I've been told they are good
sails, but have zero experience beyond that.
