There are other ways to organize these activities. We are members of a
traditional listserv, a format that is relatively old now. There is plenty
of new software for websites that can operate several forms of communication
alongside each other. For instance, there is blogging, social networking,
and there is on-line chat. If the chatters (or chatterers, perhaps) were
able to get on a separate channel n an instant and talk in real time, they
could converse to their heart¹s content without bothering the e-mail
recipients. 

Some fine software is available as open source (free).

If we had a website with these community features, we could also be posting
different things such as articles, schematic drawings, photos of
modifications, etc., all applying to the C-27. That would give us one-stop
shopping for things that we now have very scattered. Technically it is a job
that I could do, but would not be temperamentally suited to it. If there
were someone who could combine the technical with the diplomatic/social
skills, he or she would be the logical webmaster for this.
