Rick, You're right! If I have to go through all of the trouble of taking the track off, I only want to do that once!
That does look like my traveler car too. So does anyone have any pros/cons about harken, garhauer, lewmar, etc...? Rick, and Bob or anyone else that has done this upgrade, besides the pre-warm up stretching, is there anything else I should be ready for? --- On Sat, 8/16/08, Richard Shaw <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: From: Richard Shaw <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: catalina27-talk: Traveller To: [email protected] Date: Saturday, August 16, 2008, 2:45 AM Ivan, Not too long ago I had the same problem with the traveler. One of the guys on the website sent an old traveler to me and I used the white wheels to replace those "lost' from my traveler. It works OK. The real hard thing is that you have to unscrew the old track completely to dismount & remount the track. This required the flexibility of a contortionist. I even climbed inside the rear hatch to get a better angle. Then you have a working traveler with old plastic wheels. If you are going to race the boat, it might make more sense to upgrade to a better car, and not have to do it twice. Rick Shaw
