Saturday I was motoring amidst the Labor day crowds on a lake in Oklahoma when
I noticed that the oil pressure was really low. (5 lbs) I immediately returned
to the marina and checked the oil level. It was low but still in range. I added
some oil but the pressure was still just above 0 on the gauge. I thought
perhaps the pickup sensor was stuck so I rapped it a little. No change.
A local mechanic told me it might be the oil pressure regulator screw & locking
nut on the side of the Atomic 4 motor may have shaken loose. OR it might be the
bearings. Anyone have experience in this area?
