I kept the matchhead bombs outside of cub scouts - but we made one once with a
Quaker Oats box packed full, and wrapped tight in many, many layers of duct
tape. It was the kind of explosion that would bring the Homeland Security
folks running these days. Ahhh... The 60's.

I'm a big believer in bowlines, and I've used clove hitches for 30 years to put
fenders on lifelines with nary a lost fender - am I doing something wrong?

i got kicked out of cub scouts for making matchhead bombs in my den
mother's basement....
but I'm pretty sure I can tie a bowline blindfolded while standing on my
head.

any takers?

this will be easier to solve than the "jump off and climb back on
routine," which
I'm ashamed to admit has not yet happened, although still game while the
water temps are
high, for any of the bay boys with boats in the water....would need to
be a weekday
afternoon.
