Adam had about a six hour surgery this morning. The checked all the organs
and they seem to be bruised but functioning. Kidney output is exactly what
it should be. The looked for excessive bleeding and found none. They did
put a drain in his pancreas but that is normal.

The reason his surgery went so long they decided to repair the broken leg (1
nail and 1 rod) and broken arm (screws and plate). We were told he shouldn't
put too much weight on the leg. We thought that would be easy and also
appreciated the positive statement about Adam getting up on it.

While we were there the nurse wanted Adam to come off the anesthesia before
she started to sedate him again. During that brief moment between this Adam
stirred. We got him to open his eyes, move his right thumb, and move his
feet. He didn't move them quite enough for the nurse so she took her thumb
and
rubbed the bottom of his feet...he moved them enough then. She resumed the
sedation and the moment was gone. How we praise God for that moment though!

His vitals remain strong and we remain hopeful. They did replace his
breathing tube because it began to malfunction. We are so grateful to the
staff at
University of Maryland Hospital for their work.

Lisa and I went by to see the car today. How Adam survived is truly a
miracle. We did find out that a couple that saw the impact and stopped their
car
and got out to check on all involved. The husband lifted Adam's head to see
if he could get any vitals and Adam began breathing again. They reported
that the ambulance was their very quickly and the helicopter followed soon
after.
We thank God for this couple willing to stop and to help Adam.

The outpouring of prayer from all of you has been profoundly moving.
Remember to pray for Adam's lungs that they do well and the continued healing
process on all the damage.

We thank Our Heavenly Father, His Son, and the Holy Sprit for being our
source of strength and for strengthening Adam in his healing process.

Dave, Lisa, Conor, Ian, Aryana, and Adam.
