Dave,

Thank you for the update concerning Adam.  I join you in lifting the specific
prayer needs you outlined to the Father's throne of grace.  Your walk with the
Lord and abiding trust in Him in such a difficult trial have blessed me and
glorified Him.  The storm rages, but the anchor holds.

Dear Friends:

Today we had another setback.  The stint in Adam's aorta has slipped and has
exposed part of the wound which they refer to as a pseudo aneurysm which is a
thinning of the wall of the aorta.  The Chief Cardiologist, Dr Mehra, said that
many people live with this but he believes Adam is young and strong enough for
them to try to repair it...otherwise it will be a ticking time bomb.

So tomorrow sometime they will do an angiogram to decide what course of action
needs to be taken.  These range from another stint to opening up the chest and
fixing the aorta.  Of course, risk increases with the invasiveness of the
procedure.

Our emotions are roller coastering but nurse Meghan was very positive tonight
about reminding us of the progress he has made and assuring us that two steps
forward and two steps back gets you to the progress you want to make.

Some of that progress is his kidneys are working great, the fluid draining from
his punctured lung continues to decrease and is clearing up, his heart rate is
good, his incisions are healing well.  He communicates by nodding or shaking
his head.  He recognizes people.  We made arrangements for two visitors to come
today, Kelly and Nate, and Adam got very excited.  He shook his head about
being in pain and nodded his head about wanting to play video games.  Some
things never change.

Please pray for the surgeons and their staff tomorrow that God will give them
discernment beyond their learning and skill beyond their experience.

Pray that they will make the right decision for Adam's treatment.

Pray that Adam continues to be strong and that God will help his body do what
he designed it to do...heal and recover.

Pray for Adam's peace of mind as he wakes up to tubes, machines, and a variety
of faces looking down at him.  Pray God's Holy Spirit will speak words of
comfort to him in his inner most being.

We cannot tell you how it affects us to see such outpouring concern and prayers
from you.  We both find strength there.  For me (Dave) I've been feeling a
little like the father who wanted Christ to heal his son of an evil spirit and
then he responded to Jesus encouragement of faith by saying, "I do believe;
help me overcome my unbelief."

Pray for us that God will give us grace for the moment and keep us focused on
Christ.

Again, thank your for allowing us to share with you this difficult journey and
for your continued lifting up of Adam in prayer.

Dave and Lisa
