They are pretty good.  If Catalina had a standard for that year then CD should 
know.  My boat is on the hard and if you don't have the answer I can see what 
that angle is back there.  I'll be removing all of the deck hardware to prep 
the deck for painting.  Assuming the weather holds out that is.

 I was thinking that that particular stanchion may slope in towards the cabin 
based on as I recall  that part of the deck may slope towards the water making 
the stanchion vertical. The boat is asleep and is too far away to visit or else 
I would throw a protractor on it. (I may still have one from grammar school) 
Does any one think that Catalina direct may know the correct stanchion to send

 I have a 1982 27. The PO somehow slightly bent the starboard stanchion that is 
closest to the cockpit. I want to get a new one from Catalina direct.  Does 
anyone know what the degree of angle is?
