Ah, this connection didn't occur to me probably because i am not a native speaker.
Anyway, playing a bit with terms of authority is a good thing IMO. And the python package ministry would be an authoritative source of python applications. Moreover, there is quite some preaching going on in open source land, anyway :-)
The word Ministry isn't used only for religion, anyway... I usually think of "Ministry of Defence" -- which many countries seem to have (the US doesn't, though).
