I guess I just didn't find the time, but my objections are non-technical and have apparently been of no interest when voiced in the past. Basically, I think exposing human beings to the name "cheeseshop" in bad. Specifically, it's confusing to anyone not familiar with a particular Monty Python skit. A nice skit (IMO), but not a good public-facing name for PyPI. -Fred -- Fred L.
