*OCLC Research at SAA*

Several OCLC Research staff will be in San Diego this week for the 76^th Annual Meeting of the Society of American Archivists (SAA) <http://www2.archivists.org/conference/2012/san-diego>, including Ellen Ast <http://www.oclc.org/research/people/ast.htm>, Jackie Dooley <http://www.oclc.org/research/people/dooley.htm>, Ixchel Faniel <http://www.oclc.org/research/people/faniel.htm>, Merrilee Proffitt <http://www.oclc.org/research/people/proffitt.htm>, Jennifer Schaffner <http://www.oclc.org/research/people/schaffner.htm> and Bruce Washburn <http://www.oclc.org/research/people/washburn.htm>. You'll find them presenting in and attending a variety of conference sessions throughout SAA, as well as revealing ArchiveGrid design improvements at the ArchiveGrid booth during exhibit hours, so if you're attending SAA be sure to stop by and say hello. In addition, Jackie Dooley will officially take office as president of SAA at the close of the meeting. *Updates to ArchiveGrid Index *

Last week ArchiveGrid <http://beta.worldcat.org/archivegrid/> was updated with seven new contributors, 6,192 more EAD finding aids, and data that will improve its homepage map. It now includes nearly 1.8 million archival collection descriptions in its index, including over 1.5 million of which are bibliographic records extracted from WorldCat as well as finding aids provided in a mix of EAD XML, HTML, and PDF.
