This report comes out of the Library of Congress Bibliographic Framework
Initiative, launched in May 2011.
It is intended to begin a conversation about BIBFRAME: the proposed
replacement for MARC, which is based on a linked data model. Linked data
is the direction the web is moving (think Web 3.0) and this new model
could significantly impact the future of access in libraries. Please
