This report comes out of the Library of Congress Bibliographic Framework Initiative, launched in May 2011.

It is intended to begin a conversation about BIBFRAME: the proposed replacement for MARC, which is based on a linked data model. Linked data is the direction the web is moving (think Web 3.0) and this new model could significantly impact the future of access in libraries. Please give it a read!
