The FRBR Interest Group invites proposals for presentations at the ALA Annual Conference in Las Vegas. This group will meet on Friday, June 27 at 10:00 am.
The FRBR IG is also looking for an interested individual to serve as Vice-Chair for 2014-2015 and Chair from 2015-2016. For the first year as Vice-Chair, you would be working with Scott Piepenburg who will take over as chair at ALA Annual 2014. More information can be found at: http://www.ala.org/alcts/mgrps/ig/ats-dgfrbr The charge of the FRBR IG is "to provide a forum for the discussion of issues derived from or related to IFLA's functional requirements for bibliographic records, including implementation and research, including research and implementation." Presentation topics related to how FRBR can or should function in a discovery layer or other aspects of FRBR, FRAD, or FRSAD will be welcome.
