The ALCTS CaMMS Copy Cataloging Interest Group seeks two volunteers to serve one year (2015-2016) as vice co-chairs, then transitioning to co-chairs the next year (2016-2017). Our charge is to discuss informally common problems concerning copy cataloging, including quality control, work flows, copy cataloging of all kinds of materials (monographs, serials, audiovisuals, etc.), staffing needs, training, and effects of changes in cataloging rules.
As vice co-chair, you will assist with the planning and delivery of the Group's meetings, including solicitation for speakers and selection of topics to be presented. As co-chair, you will assume full responsibility for planning the meetings, filing reports to ALA, and selecting incoming vice co-chairs. Attendance at ALA Midwinter and Annual conferences for the two year commitment is required. No prior experience is necessary.
