As many of you know, Professor Ellett also shared his expertise with CLA
TSIG, as a presenter of programs and workshops, particularly in introducing
the principles of RDA prior to LC implementation.

Subject: [ALCTScentral] Cataloging student scholarship at SJSU

Hello, all, Ruth Elder shared this with me this morning, and I thought I'd
share with the list.

San Jose State University created a scholarship last year in the name of Bob
Ellett for cataloging students. Bob's sharing nature and generosity affected
many of our careers, and this seems like a fitting tribute. Here's the link
to the news release about the creation of the scholarship:

Keri

The ALCTS CaMMS Copy Cataloging Interest Group seeks two volunteers to serve
one year (2015-2016) as vice co-chairs, then transitioning to co-chairs the
next year (2016-2017). Our charge is to discuss informally common problems
concerning copy cataloging, including quality control, work flows, copy
cataloging of all kinds of materials (monographs, serials, audiovisuals,
etc.), staffing needs, training, and effects of changes in cataloging rules.

As vice co-chair, you will assist with the planning and delivery of the
Group's meetings, including solicitation for speakers and selection of
topics to be presented. As co-chair, you will assume full responsibility for
planning the meetings, filing reports to ALA, and selecting incoming vice
co-chairs. Attendance at ALA Midwinter and Annual conferences for the two
year commitment is required. No prior experience is necessary.

Please submit your name and a brief statement of interest to the current
co-chairs Leanne Finnigan ([email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>) and April
Grey ([email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>) by Wednesday September
30, 2015.
