On Behalf Of Tatyana Chubaryan LITA/ALCTS Authority Control Interest Group invites proposals for presentations at its meeting at the 2016 ALA Midwinter Meeting in Boston on Sunday June 26, 2016, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. Potential topics of interest include, but are not limited to library involvement in: authority control identity management authority-to-identity transition name IDs ( ORCID, ISNI, etc.) genre/form vocabulary development and implementation authority control and RDA enrichment initiatives authority control in BIBFRAME authority control in non-MARC environment Presentations will be approximately 20 minutes, with time for Q&A after. On Behalf Of Davis, Jee-Hyun The ALCTS/LITA Library Linked Data Interest Group (LLD-IG) seeks proposals for its meeting on Saturday, June 25th at 8:30-10:00 AM during the 2016 ALA Annual Conference in Orlando, Florida. LLD-IG facilitates active conversation among librarians and information professionals to discuss projects, ideas, and practical use cases related to library linked data. We welcome proposals that offer practical applications of library linked data and encourage audience participation and discussion. Possible topics include (but are not limited to): * Linked data projects in libraries, museums, archives, and other information communities. * Developing tools to support cataloging, organizing, browsing, and discovering resources using linked data. * Developing ontologies or linked data applications. * Collaborative linked data projects among diverse communities.
