Dear PCC Community, I am very pleased to announce the results of the recent elections to the PCC Policy Committee (PoCo), as well as some other transitions in PCC leadership.
The following representatives will serve three-year terms on PoCo, beginning on Oct. 1, 2016: * BIBCO Representative: Shana McDanold (Unit Head, Metadata Services Dept., Georgetown University) * CONSER Representative: Gene Dickerson (Team Leader for Cataloging Dept., US Dept. of State) * NACO Representative: Pat Riva (Associate University Librarian, Concordia University) * SACO Representative: Xiaoli Li (Co-head of Content Support Services Dept., University of California, Davis) I would like to thank Adam Schiff (Principal Cataloger, University of Washington) for his service to PCC. Adam will be concluding his term as a BIBCO Representative to PoCo at the end of September, and has provided sound guidance to the PCC during a time of many changes. I would also like to thank Jennifer O'Brien Roper (Head of Cataloging Services, University of Virginia) who concludes her successful tenure as NACO representative. At the end of September 2015, Shana McDanold will complete her second and final term as Chair of the Standing Committee on Automation (SCA). We know she will continue to be a valuable expert resource for the PCC on PoCo. SCA will be in good hands with the appointment of Ben Abrahamse as incoming Chair. Last but not least, I thank Chris Cronin for his amazing help, support and good humor as past chair of the PCC Steering Committee.
