Subject: [Calix] Library ebooks: SimplyE survey request

Hi California libraries -- on behalf of the SimplyE for Consortia Advisory
Group, I?m forwarding this survey link (below) for your input.

The survey is an effort to gauge awareness of the SimplyE app ? a
multi-platform ebook discovery app & reader developed by New York Public
Library and funded by IMLS ? and to solicit input on prioritizing features
for development.

Recently, the California State Library recommended, and the California
Library Services Board accepted, the use of $500,000 in one-time CLSA
funding towards boosting statewide availability of e-materials on enki
library and laying the groundwork to facilitate the deployment of SimplyE in
California.

Even if you are not familiar with SimplyE and the Library Simplified
project, please use the link below to lend your voice to indicate what
functionality is important to you in a library-developed ebook app. There
are also links in the survey to learn more about the various SimplyE
efforts.

Cheers!
-Paula

This survey will help us decide which app features to develop first, sample
awareness of SimplyE within the library community, and learn more about
ebook systems used in libraries and consortia. The survey takes 10-15
minutes and your responses will be appreciated. Please share the survey
