LITA/ALCTS Authority Control Interest Group*** invites proposals for presentations at its meeting at the 2017 ALA Midwinter Meeting in Atlanta on Sunday, January 22nd, from 1:00 to 3:00 pm.
Potential topics of interest include, but are not limited to library involvement in: authority control in BIBFRAME authority control in digital library systems name disambiguation in local library systems (repository/catalog) identity management in linked data name IDs thesauri consolidation ( ORCID, ISNI, etc.) genre/form vocabulary development and implementation authority control and RDA enrichment initiatives Presentations will be approximately 20 minutes, with time for Q&A after.
