As you know from previous emails, we are immeasurably blessed at our
parish to have the Dominican friars deployed there. As their life as
friars is itinerant in nature, they do get moved to other assignments
after prescribed periods of time. Fr. Brian, our pastor, has been
with the parish for 6 years now and he has been assigned to a new
position. Today was his last Sunday with us, and we had a wonderful
post-Mass reception for him - but that did little to ease our sorrow
that we won't be seeing, and hearing from him, on a regular basis
going forward. Yet, we are joyful in that what lies ahead for him
will be so good for him, and those with whom he comes into contact.

Fr. Brian has immensely blessed each of us at the parish with his
outstanding leadership and spiritual guidance. I have been the
direct beneficiary of his great kindness, personally. He is a
treasure of The Church, and will remain in our hearts and prayers.

I ask your prayers for him as he moves forward in his priesthood,
and, just a little selfishly, for us who remain behind, that the
friar who will be assigned to the parish to fill the vacancy will be
a great blessing for us - and we for him.

I entrust this, and all things, to the Immaculate Heart of Our Mother.
Through Him, With Him, In Him,
Sue

Lord, may everything we do begin with Your inspiration and continue
with Your help,
so that all our prayers and works may begin in You and by You be happily ended.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
