Lives Depend on Your Vote (Really!) ---------- FACT: In 2000, Florida decided the Presidency by just 562 votes—not even one ten thousandth (.000096) of the 5.8 million votes cast. (Independent recounts by a coalition of major news organizations after the election showed the razor thin difference even lower at 225 votes or .000039!) FACT: the large majority of political races—from local supervisors to governors to U.S. Senators and the Presidency—are won or lost by an average of less than 4%. In 2004, Senator Minority Leader Daschle's 2% upset loss to John Thune marked the first time in 52 years a party leader had been defeated. FACT: Pro-abortion politicians and their friends in the liberal media want every citizen who cares about the lives of unborn to believe that their one “puny” vote will not matter this year. Here’s the truth: The talking heads and liberal candidates purposely aren't mentioning THREE generational Life issues are at stake this year: 1. Socialized medicine will put our entire government and our tax dollars in the abortion business. 2. Only the U.S. Supreme Court can review Roe v. Wade. a. All experts agree that 3-4 justices will likely be nominated by our next President. b. Only the U.S. Senate can confirm or reject the President’s nominations. With sixty pro-abortion Senators, confirmation of even an extremist pro-abortion nomination would be “bullet proof." 3. The Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) will decimate pro-life legislation. It will nullify: a. Pre-abortion counseling, ultrasound requirements, informed consent, and 24-hour waiting period laws that protect at-risk pregnant women from abortion sales counselors. b. Parental notification laws allowing parents to protect their pregnant teens. c. Freedom of conscience laws that protect pro-life doctors. d. The ban on the barbaric practice of partial birth abortions. One last FACT: Now you know your vote really does have the power to save lives. Don't just think about it…VOTE!
