Please pray for my nephew, Jacob Hewell. He plays varsity Football and during a game last week, he suffered a concussion. He continues with headaches and such but during the MRI, the Neurologist thinks he saw 2 bulging discs in Jacob's upper spine. Jacob will go to see the Neurologist on Wednesday and also get consults from 2 other Doctors. If the disc's are indeed bulging, he will no longer be able to play any contact sports. If he is just suffering from the after effects of the concussion, he may continue with the headaches for upwards of 8 weeks. They are praying that the headaches are a result of the concussion and not a result from a spinal injury.
Please pray for Jacob as you feel led. I called and talked with Jacob myself and he sounded in good spirits. I know that he is very concerned about what the results will read. He loves playing Sports and has done so most of his life. He is 14 years old. Already he has endured surgeries on both of his knees due to hyper-extension and has suffered injury to his arm.
