Hello All in Christ, I wish you all a good Sunday. I have received some frightening news today. A repeat lung scan has shown what appears to be a 50% enlargement of a growth in my mom, Sarah's lung. They still don't know if it's malignant, but certainly suspect it is a re-emergence of her previous bout four years ago with kidney cancer.
They will now do another needle biopsy and then, if malignant, go in and remove that lobe of her lung. We waited three months because she wanted to wait and see. We are all so shocked at the fast growth and feel sorry we agreed to her wait and see attitude. Also, my brother in law Michael's back problems are not much better. He still has numbness and pain in his leg as well. He has been off work and on short term disability for a month, which runs out next week. He is going to try to go in to work, but I don't really see how that can be done, because he shouldn't be behind the wheel of a car with all the pain meds he is on. Some days he is quite loopy. He is really suffering a lot of pain. Please pray. I don't feel equal to the task of helping my mom through another major surgery (mainly the emotional roller coaster our family is going to have to endure again). My mom does not handle illness well. We love her very much, but she is difficult even in good times. Thank you so much for your prayers.
