I wanted to ask for prayers for victims of a horrible tragedy.

My sister in law's father, sister and niece were getting ready to
head out to celebrate with family on Xmas Eve when a natural gas
explosion BLEW UP their home. All that remains is a pile of rubble.
It's absolutely surreal.

Karin's father (72) was outside and while not burned, suffered
fractures of his arms, legs, pelvis and died Christmas Eve from
internal bleeding. Karin's sister Kim was severely burned and is in
critical condition on the burn unit of a local hospital. Kim's
daughter Sunny who is 17 suffered burns and is at Shriners Hospital
across the street from where her mom is. I saw Sunny yesterday and
she is going wonderfully. This family is facing soooo much. I know
the story has been broadcast nationally because they've received well
wishes from all over.

I wanted to ask for prayers for Kim and Sunny. Kim has two children,
her 17 year old daughter who was injured, and a 21 year old son. She
has raised them as a single mom. If anyone would like to send cards
or notes to Sunny or Kim, they can do so at
Kim Dickson c/o U.C.D.M.C., 2150 Stockton Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95817
or
Sunny Dickson c/o Shriner's Childrens Hospital, 2425 Stockton Blvd,
Sacramento, CA 95817

The road to recovery will be long and painful - they have little
money and donations would be a huge help to them. If anyone would
like to help this family, they can donate at any Bank of America to
either the Wilbert Paana Memorial Fund or Paana/Dickson Family Fund
to help relieve some of the stress of this horrible tragedy.

Most of all, I ask that you please pray for Kim because these kids so
need their mom.

This is a wonderful family. Bill, who lost his life, raised a fourth
child that his ex-wife had as his own - that's the kind of man he
was, putting her through college and supporting her in her life.

Thank you for reading and holding them in your hearts and prayers!

Lord, may everything we do begin with Your inspiration and continue
with Your help,
so that all our prayers and works may begin in You and by You be happily ended.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen.
