Just a short note. I am wiped out from a stomach virus that has not subsided in 2 days. Jackson just got over it and Malorie had it when she went into labor on Wednesday night.
Malorie had a horrible delivery. On top of being sick, she pushed for over 2 hours with Noah. The Doctor on call had 2 C-Sections back to back so the Nurses just left Malorie and Scott to themselves telling Malorie to continue to push. A Nurse did FINALLY realize the depth of the situation and put in an emergency call to another Doctor in the same practice. When he arrived Noah was born around 8:20 am Thursday morning. The problem was that Noah was stuck in the birth canal. He weighed 9 lbs, 1 oz. and is 20 inches long. Malorie ripped, literally, from the forceps delivery and the Doctor had to do some additional cutting. Now she is hemorrhaging more than is normal and they are going to keep her in the hospital at least through Saturday. I would just ask that you please pray for Malorie's healing, that the virus would leave her body and that healing will occur completely with no complications. Noah, by all counts, seems to be a content, happy baby. He looks like a Swift's Premium Butter Ball Turkey with his chest all bowed out and little arms hanging at his side.
