I have a personal request and it is going to take you a minute or two to read through this; I am asking you to pray for a miracle. As some of you know, my husband Bob has started a new job with a company in New Mexico, and it is necessary that clients call Bob from the newspaper and radio ads that the company runs. The ads are good ones, and in the past have drawn clients quite well.
However, the company has instituted a new policy of putting a recording on before the call rings on to us (an 877 number to Bob's cell phone). The recording is basically the kind we have all heard, which says that the call may be monitored for quality control. This would be nothing we would mind, and it is helpful to the company in keeping track of the number of calls coming in, also. At the same time, it is causing people to hang up as soon as they hear the recording...our opinion is that they may feel they are going to reach some kind of large 'call room' of some sort...and perhaps even worse, the recording causes a seven ring delay before Bob can answer, again causing more hang-ups. Bob has asked the company...today...to consider removing this recording, in order to get the clients he needs, but they want it left as is, and so of course nothing can be done about that. What I am asking is truly for a miracle from our Lord, that this recording and the ensuing delay will no longer stop potential clients from staying on the line and speaking to Bob. When he has the opportunity, he is excellent at presenting the property exactly as it is, and is able to sell extremely well...with total honesty...and knowing that he will only sell a property that will be good for the client. (He prays for clients who will not only have the desire but the means to purchase, and only for ones for whom the property will be to their benefit.) However, we are not getting calls now that the recording is running first. The ad is running through a week from tomorrow, each day, and then begins again in another city near us right after. Thank you SO much; I know it is asking a very large thing, to have you take the time and real effort to truly pray for a very big miracle like this, but we need it so; this immense drawback was something we never imagined, and as each of us knows, in times like these we need especially to lean on and trust our Lord for overcoming the circumstances.
