"The crown of victory is promised only to those who engage in the struggle."
~St. Augustine Vigilance is truly necessary in those to whom the care of souls has been confided. "Blessed are the servants whom the Lord at His coming shall find watching." (Luke 12:37) "Men do not pursue in a haphazard manner temporal goods, or by fits and starts. Let us be just as punctual and orderly in the service of God, not searching for new paths but perfecting our ordinary devotions. If we persevere in these, Paradise is ours." From Little Lives of the Saints In all pious undertakings, above all in the sanctification of the soul, the mere beginning does not suffice. "Whoever perseveres to the end, he shall be saved." (Matt. 24:13) If, then, you are looking for the way by which you should go, take Christ, because He Himself is the way. ~ Saint Thomas Aquinas Pray for fidelity and patience under all trials, that neither convenience nor any worldly advantage may ever prevail upon you to transgress the laws of God. ~ Butler's Lives of the Saints "Start by doing what is necessary, then do what is possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible. ~ St. Francis of Assisi <*}}}>< <http://www.halfthekingdom.org/please%20donate.html>Donations are needed and very much appreciated <*}}}>< <*}}}>< <http://www.holypostage.com/>Holy Postage <*}}}>< <*}}}><<http://www.halfthekingdom.org/>Half the <http://www.halfthekingdom.org/>Kingdom!<*}}}>< Lord, may everything we do begin with Your inspiration and continue with Your help, so that all our prayers and works may begin in You and by You be happily ended.
