This is not supported at the moment, but there are some early attempts to support it in Cayenne expressions and also JPA expressions. E.g.:

In other words we need some design discussion to move forward this effort, either on the dev list, on the wiki, or Jira.

This would be a handy way to avoid having to hard code SQL statements or manually looping through loaded entities in a context to achieve the same thing. Obvious applications such as adding up invoice lines where speed and clarity are very important.

If this doesn't exist should I create a Jira task for it?
