Hello,

Today I did a afternoon birding with Amos and we had a very successful trip. We visited Stewart Park first, and we headed to the Renwick Woods. It started a bit slow till we found woodpecker heaven. We saw various NORTHER FLICKERS, HAIRY WOODPECKERS, TITMOUSE, BLACK-CAPPED CHICKADEE, CARDINALS, JAYS, and when I said I wish we could see a PILEATED WOODPECKER it appeared!! It was our first time seeing one, very exiting and spectacular bird. We also saw two, what appeared to be HERMIT THRUSH fighting and a COMMON MERGANSER for a second. Then we went to the lake, we saw some coots, mallards and a BUFFLEHEAD, very far but easy to identify.

Then we made a stop at country club rd and we were talking about how awesome would it be to see a YELLOW-BELLIED SAPSUCKER, because Amos hadn't seen one, and we did!! We also saw a Downy.

Then we went to bebe lake to see if we could get a better look at the COMMON MERGANSER, because I didnt get a good look at the one at Stewart Park, and we saw around 20 with the Canada Goose and the gulls! Then Amos said he would like to see a OSPREY, I looked up and there was the Osprey. When we were leaving Amos said it would be nice to see a Owl, well we didnt see it but we heard a Screech Owl calling. I guess we should of wished for a Ivory-billed woodpecker...

Cheers,
